“How can a rabbit—at the very bottom of the food chain—stand up to a top predator like the wolf?”

That strength doesn’t come from a mere instinct to survive,
but from an instinctive love shared by both humans and animals: the need to protect one’s child.
This is a story about the primal force of motherhood, strong enough to make even predators hesitate—
and ultimately, about the quiet but enduring presence we all come from: the one we call “mother.”

This project began with a deeply personal question.
One day, my wife asked me, quite unexpectedly:
“Can you die instead of Seung-yu (our son)?”
It was a simple yet piercing question—one that, I believe, most parents around the world would answer the same way.
That unexpected moment led me to reflect on the instinctive love for life, the meaning of being a parent,
and those rare moments when the powerless become powerful.

“Against the Fangs” follows the journey of a mother rabbit—one of the most vulnerable creatures in the forest—
as she makes choices between fear and instinct,
fights to protect what she loves,
and ultimately embraces not only her own child, but another life entirely.
Through that journey, she transforms from a mere survivor into a true protector of life.

Through this story, we hoped to make the audience empathize with this small, fragile mother rabbit
who dares to face a predator for the sake of her child.
And we wanted to show that even wordless animals can convey deep emotion—through nothing but their eyes and movements.
